After the financial crisis in the United States, many homeowners had experienced the highest foreclosure possibility. Multiple federal, state, and private mortgage loan modification programs have been adopted to address the crisis. The mortgage loan modification is the core program to help the homeowners retain their houses. This study examines consumer complaints and consumer protection regulations related to U.S. mortgage loan modification. Results reveal the following types of consumer complaints related to the mortgage loan modification: lender’slow willingness to participate in the loan modification program, lack of information about the application for a loan modification, dual tracking, and credit information errors. The Real Estate Settlement Procedure Act of the federal government is the law enacted to protect homeowners facing foreclosure from 2014. There is the Homeowner Bill of Rights (HBOR) in California. Two regulations were examined to determine implications for consumer protection to improve mortgage loan modification procedure in Korea.

본 연구에서는 빅데이터를 활용하여 ‘다이어트’에 대한 인식의 변화를 살펴보았다. 연구를 위해 2005년, 2010년, 2019년으로 구분한 후, 다이어트에 대한 일반적 인식 및 학술적 인식을 비교하였다. 분석 결과, 다이어트와 관련된 키워드는 5년마다 변화하는 것으로 나타났으며, 일반적 인식과 학술적 인식에서 차이가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 일반적 인식에서는 다이어트 인식에 대한 키워드의 변화가 크고 다양한 것으로 나타났다. 2010년은 다이어트와 관련한 일상생활 용어들이 출현하였고, 2015년에는 보다 구체적이고 전문적인 용어들 및 배송식품, 광고 관련 단어가 출현하였다. 2019년에는 커뮤니티와 다이어트 이슈와 연관된 단어들이 출현하였다. 특히 2010년에서 2015년으로의 변화보다 2015년에서 2019년으로의 변화가 더 큰 것으로 확인되었다. 이를 요약하면, 다이어트가 더 대중적으로 사용되고 있으며 인식도 다양하게 확대되고 있었다. 그러나 학술적 인식의 경우에는 연도에 따른 변화가 일반적 인식에 비해 크지 않았다. 약 15년에 걸쳐 출현하는 키워드가 비슷했으며, 다이어트 연구와 관련된 콘텐츠나 마케팅 분야에서만 다소의 변화가 나타나고 있었다. 결론적으로, 일반적 인식에 비해 학술적 인식이 다이어트 인식의 변화 속도와 방향에서 매우 느리게 진행되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 다이어트 연구에서 실제적인 다이어트 인식에 대한 변화를 고려하여 좀 더 현실적이고 효과적인 연구가 시행되어야 함을 제언하였다.

This study explores the pathway from maternal empathic ability to the child s caring behaviors via their parenting attitude promiting their child s autonomy. Here, we surveyed 242 mothers and teachers of 3- to 5-year-old children attending childcare centers and kindergartens in Cheongju. Data were collected and analyzed through reliability tests, descriptive statistics, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 22.0. As per our findings, it was determined that the higher the maternal empathy level, the higher the display of autonomous parenting attitude. The higher the mothers’ autonomous parenting attitude, the more likely their children exhibited caring behaviors toward themselves and, eventually, for others. Therefore, mothers autonomous parenting is seen as a mediator between their empathic ability and their child s caring behaviors. However, this mediation effect of autonomous parenting remains limited as the path from the maternal empathic ability to children’s social caring behaviors is not statistically significant. This study discusses the impact of maternal parenting behaviors on young children s caring behaviors.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of emotional labor on burnout, job satisfaction, and turnover intention in early childhood teachers. The subjects of this study were 342 teachers in charge of three- to five-year-old children at child care centers and kindergartens in Cheongju city. Data were analyzed by path analysis using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 21.0 programs. The results of this study were as follows: First, teachers deep emotional labor had direct effects on emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and personal accomplishment whereas overt emotional labor had direct effects on depersonalization and personal accomplishment but had no impact on emotional exhaustion. Second, teachers emotional exhaustion directly effected on job satisfaction and turnover intention while depersonalization and personal accomplishment directly effected only job satisfaction alone but had no impact on turnover intention. Third, job satisfaction had a direct effect on turnover intention. Fourth, emotional exhaustion and personal accomplishment of teachers had an indirect effect on turnover intention mediated by job satisfaction.

연구의 목적은 편의점 공간 변화를 인지하여 편의점내 식음공간 구성요소를 도출, 소비자 가치관 변화에 따른 소비패턴을 파악한 차별화된 식음공간 연출을 제시하는 것이다. 연구방법으로는 소비자 잠재된 내면심리를 파악할 수 있는 은유추출기법을 이용하였다. 연구도구로 소비자의 편의점 공간 인식을 파악하였고 문헌고찰과 심층면접을 통해 편의점내 식음공간 구성항목을 도출, 내용요소를 분석하였다. 면접대상은 통계자료에 의해 편의점 공간 주 이용고객 25세에서 35세 12인을 대상으로 진행하였다. 소비자들이 인식한 편의점 공간 최종개념은 이용이 자유로운 휴식처와 같은 공간으로 판명되었다. 도출된 편의점내 식음공간 영역별 구성은 도입부 영역, 중심부 영역, 서비스 영역이었다. 도입부 영역은 입구, 카운터, 물품진열대로 상품구입 후 식음공간 가기 전까지이다. 중심부 영역은 섭취공간으로 소비자의 니즈에 따라 1) 개성적인 식음공간 2) 오락적 식음공간 3) 상업적 식음공간으로 구별하였고 서비스 영역은 간편식 섭취를 위한 부가기능을 행할 수 있는 공간을 말한다. 편의점은 판매공간과 식음공간이 공존하지만 식음공간은 판매식품 필요성에 따라 형성된 영역이다. 따라서 단순 공간 분리가 아닌 소비자 식사를 위하여 마련한 식음공간임을 인식한 공간연출 계획이 필요하다. 결론에서 식음공간 연출을 제시하고 학문의 발전과 실무적 연구 방향, 연구의 한계점을 제시하였다.

This study investigates the current status of men’s customized suits company and online sales of the product. Moreover, the analysis data are intended to be used as the fundamental data for the development of a customized clothing cloud platform. Results reveal that men’s customized suits companies frequently used online sales, followed by offline sales as the sales method. Moreover, customers prefer the customized clothing because ready-made clothing does not fit them. Our findings also reveal that customers want the customized clothing for fitting their body shape and for special events like wedding. In recent years, custom clothing company utilized the online channel because of the decline in offline sales; online sales and preference for non-face-to-face sales increase in the fashion market due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, this study determined that customer dissatisfaction that often occurs when selling products is due to long manufacturing time, expensive price, and unmet customer expectations regarding the finished goods design/material. To increase customized clothing customer’s satisfaction, the online service system needs to shorten the production period, reduce production costs, and provide accurate information on the product’s design/materials through the establishment of a linkage system between related companies. Firms were operating their online sales via their own websites, but they showed low customer satisfaction. Hence, style option and fabric 3D mapping service, offering trend and product recommendation service, customer size storage and management function, and filling order sheet function were recommended to improve satisfaction when developing a new online platform. Therefore, an online service that provides new and interesting visual information is suitable for men’s customized suits companies. These companies also expect to provide a service that combines product/consumer data and automatic order system technology.

우리 고유의 음식문화 콘텐츠를 확보하기 위해서는 고전문학을 통한 음식문화 콘텐츠 연구는 필연적이다. 판소리는 시조, 가사 등 조선후기 대표적인 장르가 사대부 중심이었던 것과 달리 서민중심의 장르였다. 무대와 비슷한 것으로 추정되는 ‘판’과 소리를 대표하는 ‘창자’, ‘고수’만 있으면 쉽게 부를 수 있었다. 더욱이 시조와 가사가 창자에 의한 일방적인 장르였다면 판소리는 창자와 구경꾼 사이에 공연 중 소통이 가능한 장르였다. 또한 서사와 서정을 포함하고 있는 장르이기에 서사의 대표적 특징인 특수성과 서정의 대표적인 특징인 보편성을 아우르고 있다. 조선후기 이전에 고전시가는 일부 지식인들의 소산이었다. 그렇기에 조선후기 소설 장르는 서민들에게 어떤 장르보다 인기를 끌게 되었다. 이러한 상황에서 특수성과 보편성을 다 가지고 있는 판소리는 서민들뿐만 아니라 지식인들에게도 인기를 끌게 되었다. 판소리에서 음식문화와 관련하여 콘텐츠 개발을 목적으로 진행된 연구는 아직 없기에 이 연구는 판소리에서 음식문화와 관련된 소스를 찾아 음식문화 콘텐츠 개발을 진행하는 밑거름이 되도록 하는 것에 그 목적이 있다. 문학에는 역사에는 기록되지 않는 것이 있다. 이것이 문학의 가치이며 이를 콘텐츠로 개발하기 위한 기초연구를 진행했다. 이 연구는 음식문화 콘텐츠 개발을 위한 두 번째 연구로 <수궁가>에 등장하는 음식문화를 찾아내 음식문화 콘텐츠로 활용하기 위한 1차 작업 및 콘텐츠 활용방안에 대해 제시하였다.

This study examines the factors affecting satisfaction and user intention of pay online video services by Chinese consumers by applying the technology acceptance model. The main results of this study are as follows: First, Aiqiyi was the paid online video platform used in this study. We used the Aiqiyi platform to analyze the actual user status over 6 months to 1 year. Second, our results revealed differences in our study subjects using paid online video services: more women than men, people in their 20s, and university graduates used them most. Third, the analysis of the mean differences in external factors of technology acceptance per socio-demographic characteristics showed significant differences per gender, age, occupation, average monthly income, and Internet experience. Fourth, in analyzing the mean differences in the perceived utility and perceived ease of use per the demographic characteristics, our results show significant statistical differences in gender, academic background, occupation, Internet experience, and grade of dwelling city. Fifth, we reviewed the factors having the most impact on satisfaction and user intent to pay for online video services. The system quality had positive (+) effects on the perceived utility and perceived ease of use, while cost had positive (+) effects on the perceived utility. Self-efficacy had positive (+) effects on the perceived utility and perceived ease of use. Furthermore, the perceived utility and perceived ease of use had positive (+) effects on satisfaction and user intent. Finally, user satisfaction had positive (+) effects on user intent.

This study investigates the quality characteristics of rice cookies with added sorghum powder. For the color value of the dough, we have increased the amount of sorghum powder, resulting in the L value decrease in density independently, an increase in the a value, and a significant decrease in the b value. There was a visible difference from the control group. There was no significant difference between the 5% and 10% added groups. The pH of the dough decreased significantly with the addition of sorghum powder. When the sorghum powder increased, the L value and the b value decreased, and the a value increased. At the same density, the L value was higher on the upper side than on the lower side, and the a and b values were found to be lower. The pH of the cookies decreased significantly with the addition of sorghum powder. The cookie density was not significantly different between the control and 5% added groups, but the group with more than 10% sorghum powder added tended to decrease. The hardness and spreadability of cookies significantly increased by increasing the amount of sorghum powder. The water content of cookies decreased significantly as the amount of added sorghum powder increased. By contrast, the content of crude protein increased with the addition of more sorghum powder. Adding sorghum significantly increased the sensory test values to the 20% added group but decreased from the 25% added group. This study suggests that adding 20% sorghum flour to cookies is advisable due to high preference.

This study examines how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted high school students’ eating habits and how frequent they were watching Mukbang and Cookbang cooking shows. We surveyed two groups of students: 102 in December 2019 and 240 in June 2020. The Nutrition Quotient for Adolescents (NQ-A) determined an appropriate standard of eating habits. We compared survey data from both groups by gender and frequency of watching Mukbang and Cookbang cooking shows by using SPSS 25.0. In 2020, students consumed fruit (P < 0.01) and white milk (P < 0.05) less frequently and caffeinated beverages (p < 0.05) more often than in 2019. Significant differences were observed between boys and girls each year. Boys had a decreased intake of fruits and a higher intake of caffeinated beverages. Girls had a decreased intake of white milk. Partial school attendance and partial school lunch operation resulted in an undesirable effect on high school students’ eating habits, not only with school lunch foods but also in the foods they selected outside school. The results suggest that nutrition education is needed, focusing on food choices in atypical situations like COVID-19, when regular school meals are not an option.

본 연구의 목적은 기술준비도를 기반으로 한 고객 세분화 유형과 연령에 따라 패스트푸드 레스토랑 키오스크의 지속적 이용의도에 차이를 분석하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하고자 서울에 위치한 6곳의 패스트푸드 레스토랑에서 키오스크를 이용하고 나오는 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 320명의 응답결과를 최종 실증분석을 위해 사용하였다. 분석결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 50대 이상의 응답자의 경우 40대 보다 느린 수용자 군집에 포함된 비율이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 반대로 40대 응답자의 경우 50대 이상 응답자 보다 피해망상가 군집에 포함된 비율이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 40대의 응답자의 긍정적 기술준비도가 높고 패스트푸드 전문점의 지속적 이용의도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 피해망상가 군집과 혁신가 군집은 느린 수용자 군집보다 지속적 이용의도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 피해망상가 군집에 속한 소비자의 연령에 따른 지속적 이용의도의 평균 차이가 가장 큰 것으로 나타난 반면에 느린 수용자 군집에 속한 소비자의 연령에 따른 지속적 이용의도의 평균 차이는 상대적으로 작은 것으로 나타났다. 그러므로 레스토랑 관리자는 소비자의 기술준비도 기반 세분화 유형과 연령을 고려하여 키오스크를 개발, 운영하여야 할 것이다.

본 연구에서는 식생활 라이프스타일에 따른 인구통계와 외식소비행태의 차이를 분석하고, 라이프스타일에 따라 외식행태에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 분석하였다. 연구의 표본은 한국농촌경제연구원에서 제공하는 2019년 식품소비행태조사(성인 가구원) 원시자료를 활용하였으며, 표본의 수는 6,176명을 분석에 사용하였다. 가설 검증을 하기 이전에 탐색적 요인분석을 통해 4개의 요인으로 추출되어 각각 편의추구형, 경제추구형, 건강추구형, 유행추구형으로 명명하였으며, 시장세분화를 위해 4개의 요인을 K-평균 군집분석을 실시하여 ‘경제추구’, 무관심 집단‘, ’유행추구집단‘, 편의추구집단’ 4개의 군집으로 분류하였다. 군집에 따른 시장세분화 결과 경제추구집단에서는 60대 이상과 여성의 비율이 높았으며, 무관심집단에서는 20~30대와 남성의 비율이 높고 식생활 만족도가 낮은 사람들이 대거 밀집되어 있었다. 유행추구집단에서는 30~40대와 여성, 수도권 응답자가 많았으며, 식생활 만족도 및 외식빈도가 높은 응답자들이 소속되었다. 편의추구집단에서는 20대와 남성이 많은 분포를 보이며, 식생활 만족도가 낮고 외식 및 배달음식 이용 빈도가 높은 사람들이 밀집되어 있었다. 또한, 4가지 집단에 따른 식품소비행태의 영향력을 비교한 결과 유행추구집단과 경제추구집단에서 높은 식생활 만족과 긍정적인 식품소비행동이 이루어지고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 올바른 식품소비행태와 높은 식생활만족도를 위해서는 새로운 식문화를 수용할 필요성이 있으며, 식품 구입 시 품질, 영양성분, 가격 등의 비교를 통한 식품구매 습관을 가질 것을 제안하였다.

Using the 17th KLIPS data surveyed by the Korea Labor Institute in 2014, this study investigates whether longer working hours, perception of overwork, wage level, and other work-related characteristics statistically impact workers’ job and life satisfaction. The differences between groups based on gender and age, paid and unpaid working hours, and average monthly income were the focus of the analysis. The result of this study can be summarized as follows. First, the perception of overwork had a strong negative impact on job and life satisfaction for almost all groups. Second, having 1.5 times the median income had a constant positive impact on job and life satisfaction among men workers over 50s, and life satisfaction among groups with relatively short working hours. Third, hourly wages also had a powerful positive effect on worker’s job and life satisfaction, except for some women groups. Fourth, longer working hours at the workplace showed no significant impact in general; however, it has negative effects on life satisfaction among men in 20s and 40s and that among groups having above the average monthly income. Therefore, when explaining workers’ job and life satisfaction in the context of working time, we must include comparative perspectives, such as comparisons between workers’ status in the workplaces and between the firms.

The purpose of this study was to investigate influence of indoor temperature and CO₂ level on occupants’ subjective response and work performance. A series of experiments were conducted at a controlled climate chamber. In the climate chamber, indoor temperature was controlled in three levels of 24℃, 26℃ and 28℃, and CO₂ concentration in two levels of low (under 1,000ppm) and high (over 1,000ppm). The levels were combined into six experimental conditions. Twelve female university students were selected as subjects among volunteers. During each of 40-minute experiment sessions in the climate chamber, the subjects were asked to fill out a questionnaire regarding subjective response and work performance. The questionnaire was developed by the preliminary experiment and the researcher based on existing studies. The questions on subjective response consisted of thermal sensation, evaluation on indoor temperature, humidity sensation and air quality sensation. The work performance questions included arrangement of syllable, arithmetic operation and figure matching. The results are summarized as follows. First, neutral point by thermal sensation was 26.9℃, and neutral point by evaluation on indoor temperature was 25.5℃. CO₂ level was found to have no significant influence on the subjects’ air quality sensation. It was found that there was no interaction effect of indoor temperature and CO₂ level on subjective responses. Second, the subjects tended to show the best work performance in arrangement of syllable and figure matching at 26℃ and in arithmetic operation at 24℃. Indoor temperature and work performance were found to have significant relationship. CO₂ level was found to have no influence on the subjects’ work performance. It was found that there was no interaction effect of indoor temperature and CO₂ level on work performance.

This study analyzes the tendency of human posture bias in the front and side of the body in the 20s versus the elderly years. By examining the distance between the vertical lines lowered from the reference point, we were able to get a complete picture of the front and side posture of the body. The results revealed that gender and age play a role in how the posture declines differently in the elderly. Body shape analysis studies were done based on the assumption that the human body is symmetrical on the right side. However, considering this study’s gender and age factors, the standard anthropometric terms and methods are not symmetrical. We observed a need for a standard that measures both sides of the human body true to the subject’s physical being. Our results also revealed that in the elderly, where posture has changed in the front and the side, it is necessary to have a body shape analysis approach that considers both the left and right sides.

The National Agrobiodiversity Center of the RDA, Korea, has more than 22,700 accessions of global wheat genetic resources, includingKorean wheat cultivars and landraces. Despite the numerous efforts to develop high-quality, hard winter wheat, the employment of new geneticresources into Korean wheat breeding programs is still hampered by the different growing environments. To overcome this limitation, 200germplasms that were screened using the Genebank Management System (GMS) were evaluated in three different regions in Korea. In the2018-2019 trial, 55 lines that showed superior field performance and high protein content were selected from among the 200 germplasms. These lines were re-evaluated in the 2019-2020 trial, and 24 lines that had suitable traits for growth, grain yield, and grain protein contentin three locations were finally selected. These winter wheat germplasms also showed high yield stability throughout the three different environmentsin Korea. Preliminary screening using GMS information, consecutive regional tests, and quality tests could be effective procedures for thedevelopment of hard winter wheat in Korea. Therefore, introduction breeding could be a favorable breeding method aiming to improve quality,where useful genetic resources are limited.

A black soybean cultivar called ‘Noksim’ was developed using pedigree selection by crossing ‘Ilpumgeomjeong’ (SLSB87-3 × YS558)and ‘PI547426’. A p reliminary y ield t rial (PYT), advanced y ield t rial (AYT), and regional y ield t rial (RYT) were conducted in t hree regions. ‘Noksim’ has a determinate growth habit, purple flowers, and spherical seeds. In the regional yield trial, the flowering and maturity datesof ‘Noksim’ were August 4 and October 13, respectively, and its 100-seed weight was 26.5 g, which was lower than that of ‘Chungja 3’(36.5 g). Additionally, ‘Noksim’ showed resistance to lodging, soybean mosaic virus (SMV), bacterial blight, and pod shattering. In termsof the seed quality, the chlorophyll content of ‘Noksim’ was 71.19%, which was higher than that of ‘Chungja 3’ (50.78%), and its totalanthocy anin c ontent w as 2 5.17 m g/100g, w hich w as t hree t imes more than t hat of ‘Chungja 3’. The mean y ield o f ‘Noksim’ i n RYT was2.35 ton/ha, which was 18% greater than that of ‘Chungja 3’. ‘Noksim’ is suitable for cooking with rice and soy products such as soymilkbecause of its high brix degree (35 Brix) after cooking with rice, as well as its soymilk yield (71.2%). Overall, ‘Noksim’ has dark greencotyledons with a black seed coat that is preferred by consumers, and its early maturity with pod shattering resistance results in an increasedseed yield. The damage caused by typhoons to rice production has been increasing. To reduce this damage, wind-tolerant rice breeding programshave been conducted at the Yeongdeok substation (YS) of the National Institute of Crop Science (NICS). This study was conducted to examinethe effects of these wind-tolerant rice breeding programs. Under the wind-tolerance screening facility (WTSF), the wind-tolerance of 17 ricevarieties bred at NICS (usual rice) and 20 rice varieties bred at YS (wind-tolerant rice) were analyzed by evaluating six traits: white spikelet(WS), white panicle (WP), degree of wind damage (DG), ratio of ripened grain (RRG) at control (RRG_C) and treatment (RRG_T), andreduction rate of RRG between control and treatment (RRG_R). Wind-tolerant rice showed more wind-tolerant characteristics than usual rice,such as lower WS, WP, DG, and RRG_R and higher RRG_T and RRG_C. In the principal component analysis, wind-tolerant rice showinga similar direction for RRG_T and RRG_C were located separately from the usual rice. The adaptability tests of wind-tolerant rice wereconducted by evaluating eight yield-related traits in the wind-prone areas. Wind-tolerant rice was divided into three clusters by K-means clusteringanalysis using WP and RRG_T with the WTSF, RRG, and yield in the wind-prone areas. Among the three clusters, YC2 had the strongestwind tolerance performance, followed by YC3 showing moderate wind tolerance, and YC1 the weakest wind tolerance. ‘Sinbo’, a varietybelonging to YC2, exhibited the strongest wind tolerance and high yield potential among all varieties. The wind-tolerant rice varieties bredat YS could be used practically to prevent wind damage and utilize breeding materials to enhance the wind tolerance of rice varieties.

A yellow soybean cultivar called ‘Hipro’ was developed using the single seed descent (SSD) method by crossing ‘Saedanbaek’(SS92414 ×MD87L) and ‘Daepung’ (Baekwon × Sinpaldal2). A preliminary yield trial (PYT), advanced yield trial (AYT), and regional yieldtrial (RYT) were conducted in three regions. ‘Hipro’ has a determinate growth habit, white flowers, and a spherical seed shape. In the regionalyield trial, the flowering and maturity dates of ‘Hipro’ were August 4 and October 17, respectively, and the 100-seed weight was 22.2 g,which was lower than that of Daewon (26 g). Additionally, ‘Hipro’ showed resistance to lodging, soybean mosaic virus (SMV), bacterialblight, and pod shattering. The seed protein content of ‘Hipro’, which was of particular interest in this study, was 53.9%, which was higherthan that of ‘Daepung’ (41.5%), and the total amino acid content without tryptophan was 43.6%, 19% higher than that of ‘Daepung’. Themean yield of ‘Hipro’ in RYT was 2.23 ton/ha, which was 91.3% of the yield of ‘Daewon’. However, ‘Hipro’ showed an 11% higher yieldthan Daewon in Paju. As a result of the tofu characteristic test, Hipro is suitable for making soy milk and tofu due to its high solid content(12.67 Brix) and protein content (13.68%) and high yield (325%) of tofu. Overall, ‘Hipro’ had high protein content, excellent processingquality for tofu and soy milk, and strong resistance to disease and pod shattering that will greatly contribute to the consumption of soybeansin Korea. The rice variety ‘Youngjin’ is a japonica rice (Oryza sativa L.) with good eating quality, lodging tolerance, and resistance to therice stripe virus (RSV) and bacterial blight disease (BB). It was developed by the rice breeding team of the Department of Southern Crop,NICS, RDA, in 2016. This variety was derived from a three-way cross between ‘Iksan486’, ‘YR22722-B-B-B-25-1’, and ‘Chengmu,’ withgood eating quality, in the summer of 2007. The pedigree of ‘Youngjin’ was YR27874Acp46-1, and was designated as ‘Miyang283’ in 2012. After local adaptability tests at five different locations from 2014 to 2016, it was released under the name ‘Youngjin’ in 2016. ‘Youngjin’is a mid-late maturing ecotype with a short culm length of 67 cm. This variety was found to be resistant to the K1, K2, and K3 races ofBB, and RSV, and moderately resistant to leaf blast disease. The milled rice kernels of ‘Youngjin’ were translucent and clear, without whitecore and belly, and had good eating quality, according to a panel test. This variety showed a lower percentage of cracked kernels comparedto other susceptible cultivars. The milled rice yield of ‘Youngjin’ was 568 kg/10a, under normal levels of fertilization, determined by thelocal adaptability tests. This cultivar is adaptable to the Yeongnam plain area (Registration No. 7653).
