The purpose of this study is to provide a teaching competencies of teachers of specialized subjects in response to the introduction of the NCS-based curriculum, also investigate and analyze the educational needs including the level of possessed competencies, the level of importance, and the level of in-service needs. The results of this study are expected to serve the basic data necessary for incentives to improve the teaching competencies of teachers in specialized subjects. The results obtained through this study is as follows. First, teaching competencies of teachers associated with the introduction of NCS-based curriculum were consisted of five areas of analysis, design, development, execution, and evaluation phase. Second, the difference order between the level of possessed competencies and the level of importance in terms of the areas of teaching competencies was analysis area, evaluation area. Third, the competencies to correspond to the top five of the education needs were the design of the NCS-based curriculum, the assessment of the outcome of the NCS-based academic curriculum, needs analysis, the instructional design utilizing the NCS learning module, and the selection and execution of teaching and learning methods in order. From the above results, it was found that is requested a more systematic study of teaching competencies of teachers due to the introduction of and is necessary to develop a teacher training programs considering educational needs.
