The purpose of this study was to develop a competency model of the employment support consultants for the middle-aged and elderly. To achieve this purpose, this study was conducted using the generic model overlay method of Dubois.
As a result of competency modeling, 12 competencies were derived, including support for career development, counseling for career and vocational, conducting psychological tests, managing and utilizing employment information, operating and teaching employment support programs, exploring and managing recruitment company, job placement, establishing employment networks, personality and quality of counselor, ethics of job counseling, self-development, employment-related laws and policies . In addition, 44 behavioral indicators were presented for 12 competences. Based on the above results, a proposal was made on how to utilize the results and the direction of future research.
