The purpose of this study is to compare the mixed fates of ¡®To be a toyota in the furniture industry¡¯ and ¡®The bed is not furniture, it¡¯s science¡¯.
I want to find out how the leading companies in the furniture industry and bed industry in Korea have reached today. In other words, I want to compare the management strategies of BIF(Borneo International Furniture Co) and Ace Bed.
First, let¡¯s take a look at the growth and decline of BIF, which was ranked first in the evaluation of domestic furniture brands in Korea furniture brand evaluation.
From 1962 to 1988, after listing the stock market and entering court administration in 1991, I will examine the path that BIF have followed and draw up the problems.
Next I take a look at the successful growth of Ace Bed with the slogan is ¡®The bed is not furniture, it¡¯s science.¡¯ Since the founding, I would like to find out why it has contributed to growth while maintaining its unique status.
The results derived from this process are expected to provide implications for the future development of the Korean furniture industry and bed industry.
