서비스 회복의 공정성과 관련하여 물류와 해운항만 분야에 대한 연구는 극히 제한적이며 특히 항만에 대한 연구는 찾아보기 힘든 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 서비스 실패 후 회복에 대한 다른 산업에서의 선행연구를 기반으로 항만 서비스에도 유사한 연구 결과의 적용이 가능 한 지를 검토하였다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 문헌연구를 통해 공정성의 관점에서 서비스실패, 회복노력, 회복만족과 관계지속의도, 항만서비스 등에 대한 이론을 파악하여 체계화하였다. 이러한 연구를 토대로 서비스회복공정성을 독립변수로, 회복만족을 매개변수로, 관계지속의도를 결과 변수로 하는 연구모형을 도출하고 실증분석을 통해 가설을 검증하였다. 실증분석을 통해 서비스회복공정성은 분배공정성, 절차공정성, 대인관계공정성과 정보공정 성의 4가지 차원으로 구성되는 것을 확인하였다. 그리고 항만 서비스 관련 서비스회복공정성에 대한 해운회사인 고객의 인식은 고객의 회복만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 이는 기존의 공정성 인식에 대한 연구들이 항만 서비스에도 적용됨을 확인한 것 이다.

Purpose : The purpose of this study is to examine whether similar recovery process could be applied to port services based on previous studies in other industries for recovery after service failure.
Research design, data, methodology : We identified and systematized the theory of service failure, recovery effort, equity theory and other relevant issues. Based on these studies, we derived a research model that used service recovery justice, recovery satisfaction and relationship maintenance intention as latent variables and surveyed 35
container shipping companies.
Results and Conclusion : It is confirmed that the customers’ perception of the shipping company about the service recovery justice of the port service positively affects the customer’s recovery satisfaction and, furthermore, customers’ positive satisfaction with recovery has a significant effect on customer’s relationship maintenance intention.
