This study aimed to investigate the relationship among job characteristics, protean career attitude, and self-efficacy. Based on literature review, we suggested a research model. In this model it was hypothesized that job characteristics had positive effects on protean career attitude. And also it was hypothesized that self-efficacy moderated the relationship between job characteristics and protean career attitude. To achieve the research purpose, we collected data from 233 employees in Korean lifelong educational institutes. The SPSS program was used for data analyses. And test of reliability abd validity for measurement tool, and analyses of descriptive statistics, correlational coefficients, and hierarchical regression were conducted. The findings of analysis were following. First, two sub-variables of Job characteristics(knowledge characteristics and employment characteristics) had a significant effects on protean career attitude. Second, self-efficacy also had a significant moderated effect on the relationship between two sub-variables of job characteristics and protean career attitude. Based on the results of this study, we suggested some implications and discussed limitations of this study.
