단국대 연민문고에는 연암의 아들 박종채가 『연암집』 을 편집하기 위하여 연암의 저작물 중에서 시를 채록해 놓은 『연암집초고보유 9』가 소장되어 있는데, 이곳에는 연암시 50수가 수록되어 있다. 그러나 박영철본 『연암집』 에는 50수 중에서 「사약행」 1수를 비롯해 모두 8수를 제외된 채 42수만 수록되어 있다. 박영철본에 수록되어 있지 않은 8수에는 하층민의 저속한 언어를 거침없이 쏟아 내거나 사랑을 질투하는 여심을 생동적으로 묘사하는등, 시의 내용에 있어서나 문체에 있어서 사대부로서의 체모에 어울리지 않는 표현들이 적지 않다. 이로 보아 박종채는 아버지의 글이 순정하지 못하다는 세간의 의혹을 불식하기 위하여, 『연암집』 의 편집하면서 고의로 8수를 수록하지 않은 것으로 판단된다.
본 연구를 통하여 박종채에 의해 『과정록』 이 완성된 1816년부터 박종채가 효명세자에게 『연암집』 을 올린 1829년까지의 13년 사이에 연암 저작들이 박종채에 의해 대폭적인 수정이 가해졌음을 확인하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 연암 저작의 이본들에 나타난 개작 양상을 통하여 각 이본의 선후 관계와 계통을 규명하는데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 또한 본 연구에서는 박영철본에 수록되지 않은 연암시 8수가 내용상으로나 문체면에 있어서 8파격과 일탈을 일삼았던 연암시의 특징을 온전히 보여주고 있음을 확인하였다 따라서 본 연구는 연암의 산문저작에 비해 그 수가 현저히 적은 연암시의 특징을 규명하고 연암시가 연암문학에서 차지하는 위상을 새롭게 정립하는데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Yeunmin Library in Dankuk University has 『Yeonamgipchogoboyou 9 燕巖集草稿補遺 九』, which was editted by Park Jongchae, son of Yeonam. He collected 50 poems for this book from his father's other books to edit 『Yeonamgip 燕巖集』. But Only 42 poems appeared and eight poems including 「Sayaghaeng 司鑰行」 were not recorded in the 『Yeonamgip』 editted by Park Youngchul. In the excluded eight poems, there were many unsuitable expressions for a man of noble birth, pouring out the vulgar words of lower classes or describing a jealous woman's heart vividly, etc. Seeing this, we can judge when Park Jongchae editted Yeonamgip , he intentionally left out the 8 poems to wipe out the society's suspicion that his father's writing was not pure and elegant
This study confirmed Yeunam's books had been revised extensively by Park Jongchae for 13 years from 1816 (the year he completed 『Guajungrok 過庭錄』) to 1829 (the year he presented Prince Hyomyung 『Yeonamgip 』 ). Therefore, this study is expected to help us find out the front and rear relation and the genealogy of the different versions through checking adaptation aspects appeared in the versions of his books. Also in the study this researcher ascertained the 8 poems, which were not appeared in the Park Youngchul edition, totally showed the characteristics of Yeunam's poetry that breaking rules and deviation were frequently performed in the contexts and literary style. Hence this study is expected to identify characteristics of Yeunam's poems which were remarkably smaller than his prose works, and newly determine the position of the poems among his literary works.
