The aim of this article were to review literature on the teacher's role required to practice the emergent curriculum in depth. As a result, required teacher's roles were learning partner, reflective practitioner, documentation-grapher, and a member of learning community. Discussed in this review were as follows: (1)As a learning partner, teacher should induce children's learning by exploring and deepening their former experiences in the zone of proximal development. (2)As a reflective practitioner, teacher should construct knowledge of general child, each child, and themselves through reflective thinking. (3)As a documentation-grapher, teacher should communicate with children, colleagues, and parents through documentation. (4)As a member of learning community, teacher should share and reflect their practices collaboratively with colleagues.
