The Romanization of Korean is regarded as the best way to globalize Korean and Korean Culture. There are many people in the world who are concerned about Korean and Korean Culture, but most of them can’t understand both Korean Language and Korean Letters.
The best way to understand Korean language, teach it them but it will take a lot of time. Therefore we give the information about Korea and Korean Culture by romanization of Korean.
Now there are two different Romanizations between South and North Korea. It cause foreigners to think that the languages which used in South and North Korea understand are different ones, in spite of they are historical homogeneity.
The goal of our suggest to unificate the romanization of Korean between South and North is to establish the homogeneity of Korean. There are three points to be considered. 1) strength of stability : The script of Romanization will be promote the foreigners to restore the proper Korean Pronounciation. 2) economic point of writing : we will keep the number of letters to a minimum. 3) usual practice : new suggestion will be in the customary usage of current romanization script.
As a result I suggest the unification method as following;
1) Suggestion is based on ISO/TR11941(1996) and Romanization which established in South Korean until 2002.
2) Principle of romanization is based on Transcription not Transliteration.
3) For the consonants, the plosive /ㄱ, ㄷ, ㅂ, ㅈ /, /g, d, b, j/ are transcribed into and the fortis /ㄲ, ㄸ, ㅃ, ㅉ/ are transcribed into /gg, dd, bb, jj/. The script of finals are equal to initial.
4) For the vowel, there are no significant difference between South and North, it had better to use South Korean method.
