This paper aims to investigate a cultural factor from a point of view eastern philosophy in the traditional everyday life. Because of extensive range of eastern philosophy, scope of the research is set as a In-ui-ye-ji (benevolence and righteousness, rituals, knowledge)that is primary virtue of the human being. By targeting traditional living spaces, it was analyzed cultural factor as a attitude, meaning & symbol, function and roles about spaces. The nature of In-ui-ye-ji is the moral principles. Since the Joseon Dynasty, social order practicing of the organic relationship between human, nature, and society was constructed based on the metaphysical philosophy of Confucianism such as Neo-Confucianism.
The concept of eastern philosophy is a practice of filial piety, distinction between the genders, the formation of social hierarchy on the traditional residential space. The attitudes and habits for space is unconscious behaviors such as ritual acts through repetition and it appears as a habitual daily lifestyle. The tangible presence of a traditional residential space becomes life, therefore, courtesy and hospitality space for the conduct of human. According as culture and leisure is outside the home and the economic life to make a living, consumption was daily. Also, The role of rituals and recognition of knowledge can be allowed a value of eastern philosophy.
Accordingly, a cultural factor in the traditional way of life were as follows: It is the attitudes and habits through the benevolence and righteousness, amusement through rituals and the symbol of cultural- politics as a social interaction through knowledge.
