탈현대 문명 건설이라고 하는 이 시대의 과제에 대해, 상징의 책인 『주역周易』은 어떤 가르침을 베풀 수 있는가? 이 논문은 이 질문에 대한 답을 찾아보고자 했다. 오늘날 현대 문명은 심각한 위기에 직면해 있으며, 위기의 근원은 현대 문명의 토대인 현대 세계관이다 그러므로 현 인류에게 주어진 과제는 새로운 세계관의 토대 위에서 탈현대 문명을 구상하고, 문명 대전환을 이루는 일이다. 바로 이런 문제의식의 기반 위에서 이 글은 『주역 』에서 탈현대 문명건설 방안을 찾아보고자 한다. 이 글의 내용은 다음 세 부문으로 나뉜다.
첫째, 이 글에서는 『주역 』을 통해 세계관의 혁명을 논하고자 했다 현대 세계관으로부터 탈현대 세계관으로의 대전환은 탈현대 문명 건설의 첫 걸음이다. 세계관의 혁명과 관련해서 『주역 』이 주는 가르침은 다음과 같다. 세계관의 대전환의 출발은 현대 문명이 만들어놓은 망상의 늪으로부터 벗어나는 것이다. 그리고 이젠 낡아버린 현대 세계관의 타파에 나서야 한다. 세계관의 혁명은 지난한 일이기에 단숨에 성공할 수 없다 그러므로 어떤 어려움에 부딪히더라도 불굴의 의지를 갖고 노력을 계속해야 한다.
둘째, 이 글에서는 『주역』을 통해 탈현대 문명 건설의 기초를 살펴보고자 한다. 탈현대 문명 건설의 전제는 인류가 현대적인 노력을 중지하는 것이다. 우리는 내 밖에 있는 세계를 바꾸어 현대 문명을 건설했지만, 탈현대 문명의 건설은 ‘나의 변화’ 에서부터 시작한다. ‘나의 변화’란 내 안에 덕을 길러 내가 이 세상을 정화시키는 우물과 같은 존재로 바뀌는 것이며, 이것이 탈현대 문명 건설의 기초가 된다.
셋째, 이 글의 마지막 과제는 『주역』을 통해 탈현대 문명 건설의 원칙을 탐구하는 것이다 『주역 』은 탈현대 문명 건설이란 대업을 이루기 위해서는 조급해서는 안 되며, 때를 기다릴 줄 알아야한다고 말한다, 또한 인류 최대의 역사 投事인 탈현대 문명 건설을 위해서는 모든 행위 주체의 역 량을 결집시켜야만 한다고 말한다. 마지막으로 『주역』은 탈현대 문명 건설에는 어려움이 뒤따르기에 항심을 갖고 끈기 있게 노력해야함을 강조한다.

Construction of the post-modern civilization is the great task given to this age α'hat is the teaching of I-Ching to the taskì The purpose of this paper is looking for the answer for the question. Nowadays the modern civilization meets the serious crisis. And the fundamental cause of the crisis is the modern view of world which is the bas is of the modern civilization. Therefore, the task given to current human being is to design the post-modern civilization based on the new world view and to achieve the great transition of civilization. Based on these awareness, I will look for the principle in construction of the post-modern civilization in I-Ching. The contents of this paper are composed of next three parts.
First, revolution of world view through I-Ching is discussed in this paper. The grand transition from the modern world view to the post-modern world view is the fìrst step in constructing the post-modern civilization. The teaching related to world view revolution given in I-Ching is as follows. The start of the grand transition of world view is to get out of the mire of delusion which is made by the modern civilization. And the modern view of world which is old now shollld be broken down.
Second, the basis in constructing the post-modern civilization through l-Ching is looked for. The premise of the post-modern civilization construction is to Stop modern efforts. Construction of the post-modern civilization starts from 'the change of myself 'The change of myself' means to cultivate virtues inside of me
Third, the last task of this paper is to look for the principles of the post-modern civilization construction. 1n the 1-Ching, it is said that we should not hurry and must know to wait the exact rime. We should concentrare all one's efforts to build the post-modern civilization. Lastly it is said that we should have steadiness because building a new civilization is very diffìcult task.
