본 논문은 『 우랴도븨 꾸르예르 』라는 우크라이나 신문을 중심으로 두고이 신문에서 1991-1996년 사이에 쓰인 한국 고유명사의 표기법을 분석하고 문제점을 정리하고자 한다. 우크라이나가 1991년에 독립되면서 다른 나라들과의 교류가 활발해졌고 더불어 많은 새로운 외래어들도 우크라이나어에 사용되기 시작했다. 본 논문은 현재까지 연구가 활발하게 이루어지지 못 하고 있는 우크라이나어에서 외래어로써 쓰이는 한국어 단어들에 초점을 두고 있으며 그 중에서도 고유 명사를 분석하고자 한다.
본 논문의 목적은 『 우랴도븨 꾸르예르 』에서 1991-1996년 사이에 어떤 한국고유명사들이 얼마나 자주 쓰이고 있었고 그것은 우크라이나어로 어떻게 표기되었으며 한국어의 음성이나 철자가 어떻게 반영되었는지에 대해 알아보면서 관련 문제점들을 밝히고자 한다. 또한 이러한 문제점들에 대해 다양한 제안을 내세우며 한국고유명사를 우크라이나어로 표기하는 데에 있어서 새로운 방향을 찾고자 한다.

This paper focuses on the analysis of Korean proper nouns and their functioning in Ukrainian language through the prism of texts printed in the Ukrainian newspaper Uriadovyi Kurier in 1991-1996. With Ukrainian independency Ukraine’s relations with other countries have become more active and dynamic which in its turn has led to increase of loanwords in Ukrainian language. This paper concentrates on Korean loanwords, namely proper nouns, as this area of study still lacks much needed attention, mostly because there are not many specialists in this area.
Attention is focused on how Korean proper nouns are rendered in Uriadovyi Kurier . The aim is to find out which Korean proper nouns were used in Ukrainian language at the time, frequency of their use, problems in phonetic and orthographic adaptation into Ukrainian language and to provide propositions as to possible solutions to these problems.
