Hotel business is now facing the change of managerial environment, such as, rank simplification and outsourcing which decreases the opportunity of promotion due to structural changes and more hotels are preparing for its opening which encourages hotel employees to seek new opportunities in developing their career while hotels put effort on preventing their employees¡¯ movement. Hence, the purpose of this study was to
examine the influence of hotel employees` protean career attitude upon their job satisfaction and intention of job change especially focusing on organizational support as a mediating factor. The outcome is as follows: First, as for the influence of protean career attitude upon job satisfaction, as the protean career attitude increases, employees` job satisfaction increases as well. Second, as for the influence of protean career attitude upon intention of job change, protean career attitude had no significant influence upon the intention of job change. Third, as for whether organizational support played a mediate role in the influence of protean career attitude upon organizational effectiveness, while the organizational support focused on emotion had a perfect mediate effect upon the relationship between protean career and job satisfaction, material support had no mediate effect upon the relationship between protean career and job satisfaction. As for the mediate effect of organizational support upon the relationship between protean career and intention of job change, both emotional and material supports had no mediate effect upon it.
