The demographic trend that Korea is destined to be an aged society needs new policies for them. To maintain their working life and improve life quality, both employability improvement and vocational competence education system to support them are definitely necessary. Therefore this research tries to explore for the characteristics of policies to strengthen the employability of middle-old aged women in Japan. In Japan, the government has developed many policy programs in order to increase the participation of middle-old aged women to the labour market. And these programs give very practical help to middle-old aged women. These Japanese policies is strongly recommendable to Korea in order to help middle-old aged women to become more productive generation. And the government should try to create diverse decent jobs in communities, provide one-stop services and training opportunities for employment of middle-old aged women.
