The survey on present conditions and needs of related services of preschoolers with disabilities in inclusive settings
Results were showed that the families of preschoolers with disabilities in inclusive settings payed a lot of expenses to the related services, for they were not implemented in the public education system. And the time of assessment on disabilities was significantly correlated with the onset of intervention. This supported the fact that establishing the early child finding system was very important. The preschoolers with disabilities in inclusive settings were experiencing the various related services in the diverse settings, but the satisfaction level of them was low. On the other hands, the need for them was high. These suggest the qualitative improvement for heightening the satisfactions and the quantitative increase for meeting the needs.
Based on the results, the following topics were discussed. (1) defining the contents of the related services, (2) establishing the early child-finding system and the successive service delivery system, (3) implementing the free related services in the public education, (4) clarifying the structure of managing the related services connected with special education, (5) constructing the system for cultivating the personnel professionality and developing the diverse implementing models.
