Preparing introduction of the estimation and approval system for a college of education, I checked present state and controversial issues mainly with contents of the curriculum education studies and the curriculum content studies of the Sino-Korean education department curriculum in existing 10 universities. The curriculum of the Sino-Korean education department must be organized with contents faithfully reflected original characteristic of the Sino-Korean major and educational ideology and purpose which the teachers' college aimed as a special purpose college cultivating teachers for middle and high schools. Particularly the major realm of the Sino-Korean department curriculum must be organized as the way Confrontation and complement are mutually possible between the curriculum education studies and the curriculum content studies thus it can be differentiated from the curriculum of other general departments.
The subjects for the curriculum education studies opened for the major realm of the present 10 universities' Sino-Korean education was constructed hurriedly without scholarly filtering process about Sino-Korean education to make provision for the estimations of the college of education which have been held over two times since 1998. As we can see on the appointment examination recently set, the curriculum education studies should be understood on a whole point of view as the curriculum with education by taking off dichotomous sight as curriculum and education. The subjects of the curriculum education on the educational procedure of the Sino-Korean education department should be reorganized by scientific and synthetic way to unite the content problem-what the contents should be and the method-how to teach.
The subjects of the curriculum content studies opened at the present 10 universities can be divided widely by the contents with a fundamental realm, a literal realm, a historical realm, and a philosophical realm. The biggest problem in the curriculum education studies is rather the contents of the subjects opened for each realm than the weight of it. There are several subjects which is not suitable to middle and high schools' Sino-Korean curriculum and some of these are even different from tendency of the appointment examinations for these 9 years. In the future the subjects of the curriculum content studies should be improved to the subjects for preparation of the teacher's appointment examination and for proper acquirement of the knowledge and the method requested at the school education field.
The curriculum of the Sino-Korean education department should be continually improved so that the students can acquire essential knowledges and manuals to understand and change synthetically the actual field where they will work in the future. From now observation related to the direction of the education curriculum must be devoted to the content of improvement proposal for teaching profession subjects in the comprehensive program of teacher-training system reorganization. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the foundation, the Sino-Korean education department have to raise its level as an independent department and make future-oriented educational curriculum reflected requirement of the field as well as making provision for the estimation of the teacher's college.
